Naive Ange Postecoglou could be the least effective Premier League manager ever | Barney Ronay

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how someone can be so on point one minute and completely lost the next 😂. I mean, 31 losses in their last 50 games? That's just staggering. And you're right, it's all very endearing in a tragic way - like watching a friend struggle with something they love.

I think what really gets me is how confident he was on the touchline, looking so assured and in control, only to be cut down by Marinakis after that last defeat 🤦‍♂️. It's like he had this "inner circle" of fans who were rooting for him, but nobody else could see it coming.

And can we talk about his record-breaking tenure at Forest? 44 days? I mean, I know it's not ideal, but at least that shows you've got some guts and willingness to take risks. The sacking was so swift and brutal - no words, no explanation... it was like he just walked out of the room with his head held high 😂.

I guess my biggest takeaway is that the Premier League really does have a way of revealing your true colours (or in Postecoglou's case, lack thereof). He may have won the Europa League, but this league is a whole different beast. I'm not sure what's next for him, but I hope he takes some time to reflect on his game and figure out how to adapt better.

He'll need to go back to basics, rewatch some old footage ( maybe even some YouTube tutorials 📹), and develop a more nuanced understanding of the game. It's not impossible - just ask Jürgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola for examples 😅. But Ange Postecoglou has definitely got his work cut out for him this time around 👊

I don’t usually comment but I gotta say, poor guy seems like a nice dude who just didn't cut it at the Premier League level 🤷‍♂️. He had some decent wins and all but ultimately couldn't adapt to the high pace of the league. It's not his fault, it’s just the way the game is structured now. I feel bad for him because he really gave it a go 🙏. And that sacking was brutal lol 🤯. Guess you can say he's already learning from his mistakes and will bounce back stronger next time 💪.

OMG 😂😂😂 I am DYING over here! The guy was like a zombie out there on the pitch, refusing to accept defeat even when his team was getting absolutely thrashed! 🤣 And that face on the touchline? Iconic 🙌 Postecoglou is like a one-man trainwreck show, and I am HERE. FOR. IT 😂

omg I cant believe what happened to ange postecoglou 🤯😂 that guy was so confident but also clueless at the same time! 31 lost and 13 won out of 50 games? 😳 thats not a record we want our managers to have i remember when brian clough used to manage forest, he lasted 44 days lol thats actually pretty impressive compared to postecoglou's 18 minutes 🕰️ anyway im gonna miss watching him try to do his thing on the touchline, it was like watching a fish out of water 😂🏈
